Rules for the 27th Getafe City International Half Marathon.

1. NAME

Club de Atletismo Artyneon, with the collaboration of Getafe City Council, organises the 27th Getafe City International Half Marathon on Sunday, 31 January 2027 at 10:30.

2. REGISTRATION

Registration opens on 1 June 2026 and runs until 26 January 2027 at 00:00, or until 6,000 entries sell out.

Anyone may take part regardless of condition, gender or nationality, provided they are 18 years old on the day of the event.

Registration will be completed through the official race website, www.mediadegetafe.com, using the debit/credit card payment platform.

Registration platform management fees are not included in the registration price.

T-shirt sizes are subject to availability while stocks last.

Medal engraving service: participants may book medal engraving on the registration platform when registering, at a cost of €6.

By registering, participants declare and assume that they are in optimal physical condition to take part in this sporting event.

2.1 REFUNDS

Once registration has been completed, since the runner accepts these rules, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances except for those who have purchased cancellation insurance. For any contingency, the organisation offers cancellation insurance or a guarantee at a cost of €5 per registration, under the following terms:

For cancellations before 30 December 2026: 100% refund of the registration fee.

For requests after 30 December 2026, registrations will be considered final and cancellations will not be possible.

In the event of extraordinary adverse weather or force majeure not attributable to the organisation that makes it impossible to hold the race, the organisation will not accept any liability and reserves the right to refund the registration fee.

2.2 BIB TRANSFER

The runner may transfer their bib to whomever they choose using the link received after registration, with a €3 processing fee.

Bib transfers cannot be made after 30 December.

The organisation reserves the right to make any change required for organisational needs or for the benefit of participants, informing them as far in advance as possible.

The race may be suspended and/or postponed if there is a risk to participant safety, due to force majeure or extreme weather or health conditions that make it inadvisable to hold it. Any change will be duly notified.

2.3 PRICE

First 500 bibs or until 15 June 2026 - €22

501-1500 or until 31 July 2026 - €25

1501-3000 or until 30 September 2026 - €28

3001-4500 or until 30 November 2026 - €31

4501-6000 or until 25 January 2027 - €34

3. CAPACITY

Participation capacity is limited to 6,000 runners.

4. COURSE

The start will take place at 10:30 on Avda. Juan de Borbón, next to Estadio Juan de la Cierva, where the finish line will be located.

The organisation may make any necessary changes to the race courses, including suspending the race due to force majeure or if weather, health or safety conditions so advise.

Participants must complete the full course. They are required to follow the official route and pass through the controls established by the organisation, and are solely responsible for knowing it and not deviating from it. If participants leave the course, they must rejoin at the same point where they left it.

The race course will not be open to traffic, but participants must respect general road safety rules and the instructions of officers and organisation staff at all times. Any sanction or damage to themselves or others arising from failure to comply with these instructions and rules will be their exclusive responsibility, releasing the organisation from any liability.

Any behaviour contrary to the rules of the municipalities and spaces covered by the course is strictly prohibited and grounds for disqualification, especially running outside the route marked by the organisation, littering, vandalism, etc.

The only vehicles allowed to follow the race will be those authorised by the organisation. The total distance to be covered is 21.097 km.

4.1 CONTROL AND CUT-OFF POINTS

It is mandatory to pass through any intermediate control points established by the organisation for each race. Participants not recorded at all control points will be disqualified. These intermediate control points will be located at the start, km 5, km 10, km 15 and finish.

Participants who abandon the race must inform the organisation at the finish line.

4.2 REFRESHMENT POINTS

There will be liquid refreshments at kilometres 5, 10 and 15, and final refreshments at the finish, liquid and/or solid. Refreshments will be provided by the official race sponsor, AHORRAMAS supermarkets.

4.3 START BOXES

At registration, runners must state their estimated time in order to access the box corresponding to their time and achieve a smoother start for everyone.

5. TIMING AND CERTIFICATION

The race will be timed using an electronic chip on the bib. The timing system is certified by the RFEA (Spanish Athletics Federation). Each participant must wear throughout the race the timing chip/bib provided by the organisation, which will determine their official race time.

The course is a single lap with a distance of 21.097 km. It runs on an urban circuit certified by the Spanish Athletics Federation. The race is included in the RFEA international calendar.

6. CATEGORIES

The competition categories for men and women are:

Senior from 18 to 34 years

M35 - from 35 to 39 years

M40 - from 40 to 44 years

M45 - from 45 to 49 years

M50 - from 50 to 54 years

M55 - from 55 to 60 years

M60 - from 60 to 64 years

M65 - 65 years and over

Wheelchair (NO HAND BIKE) single category

7. PRIZES AND TROPHIES

The following cash prizes are established for the men's/women's overall classification:

Trophies for the top 3 overall finishers, both men's and women's categories.

Trophy for the first local male and female runner (registered residents of Getafe).

€50 prize for the first male and female runner in each category.

Cash prizes for category winners will be paid in the week following the event.

Attendance at the prize and trophy ceremony is mandatory; failure to attend forfeits the right to the prize and/or trophy.

Performance bonuses are cumulative with overall classification prizes.

Prize/bonus payments will be made once anti-doping control results have been sent to the organisation.

8. DISQUALIFICATIONS

Grounds for disqualification from any race, in addition to those stated throughout the rules:

Not wearing the bib visibly and correctly during the race.

Taking part with a bib and/or chip assigned to another participant or not authorised by the organisation.

Not completing the full course, abandoning the race or missing a control point will be considered grounds for disqualification.

Unsporting or disrespectful behaviour towards organisers, collaborators, judges, spectators and other runners.

The decision on any possible disqualification of a participant, for the reasons mentioned or others included in the rules of the race, will be made by race management.

8.1 CLAIMS

All claims relating to possible timing incidents will be handled until 1 February at 15:00, exclusively at atletismoartyneon@gmail.com.

Claims received by any other means will not be handled.

9. BIB COLLECTION

BIB COLLECTION, TOGETHER WITH THE RUNNER BAG, WILL TAKE PLACE AT PABELLÓN FELIPE REYES (Av. de España 63, 28903 Getafe).

Bib collection days:

FRIDAY 29/01/2027 FROM 10:00 TO 20:00

SATURDAY 30/01/2027 FROM 10:00 TO 20:00

SUNDAY 31/01/2027 ONLY: bibs will be handed out to runners residing outside the Region of Madrid. Time: 8:15 to 10:00 at the Juan de la Cierva sports centre, opposite the start area.

To collect the bib, prior presentation of the registration confirmation or ID document is mandatory.

10. ACCIDENT INSURANCE

All participants will be covered by collective accident insurance and must follow at all times the instructions given by the organisation through volunteers, technicians, judges, accredited staff or the official public-address service.

The participant acknowledges that they are practising a sporting activity that may involve risk to their physical integrity, and that the conditions and development of this activity can only be controlled by the athlete, who must choose how to act at each moment and situation according to the terrain and their physical and technical condition. Each participant is solely responsible for their actions and any consequences arising from an accident, releasing the organisers from any liability in this regard.

11. PRIVACY POLICY

In the following sections you will find detailed information on the processing of your personal data for which Club de Atletismo Artyneon will request your consent when you register for this race, in accordance with the legislation in force at all times.

11.1 DATA CONTROLLER

The controller of your personal data is Club de Atletismo Artyneon.

11.2 PURPOSE

The purposes for which your consent is requested for the processing of your personal data are those indicated in the form you are asked to complete to formalise your registration, which prevails over this Privacy Policy. In any case, we inform you that:

We process the information provided by data subjects to manage publication sending services, website registration and event registrations.

Based on the information you provide, we may create a commercial profile that allows us to offer services and/or products in line with the preferences and interests you have expressed, whether our own or those of third parties, as well as to improve your experience. Offers of services and/or products may be sent by any physical or electronic means, including email, telephone and/or WhatsApp or SMS.

We retain the data you provide for as long as you do not request its deletion.

With your collaboration, we will try to keep the data we process duly updated.

11.3 LEGAL BASIS

Unless we expressly indicate, when requesting your consent, that it is needed for a specific purpose such as the performance of a contract (typically subscription or purchase of publications, or to manage your participation in an event), the legal basis for processing your data is the consent you grant us for all purposes and uses listed in detail in the previous sections.

11.4 RECIPIENTS

As a rule, we do not disclose the personal data we process to third parties. If we were to do so, we would inform you beforehand, and the entity receiving the disclosure would request any necessary consent from you.

11.5 DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

We remind you that current regulations recognise the following rights:

To request access to your personal data, for any purpose, particularly to know whether we are processing your data, for what purpose and on what legal basis (contractual consent, specific consent, etc.);

To request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of data, for example when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected;

To request restriction of data processing in certain circumstances, in which case we will retain the data only for the exercise or defence of possible claims.

To object to their processing in certain circumstances and for reasons related to your particular situation, in which case we will stop processing your data except for compelling legitimate grounds or for the exercise or defence of possible claims; and

To portability of personal data concerning you (not third parties) that you have provided directly and that is subject to processing.

If you exercise any of these rights in relation to data that is essential for the performance of a contract, we will inform you of the resulting consequences.

In cases where the legal basis for processing is other than contractual consent, we will immediately carry out your instructions, without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that date. In any case, you may

obtain information on exercising your rights from the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es) or similar regional bodies.

11.6 SOURCE

In cases permitted by current law where we process your data and have not obtained it directly from you, we will inform you by post, email or instant messaging of the following points:

The source from which your data comes and, in particular, whether it is a publicly accessible source.

The categories of personal data concerned, as well as whether it is specially protected data.

11.7 SECURITY MEASURES

The data controller undertakes to comply with its duty of confidentiality regarding personal data and its duty to keep it secure, and has adopted the technical and organisational measures necessary to guarantee its security and prevent alteration, loss, processing or unauthorised access, taking into account the state of technology and in accordance with current regulations. However, it cannot guarantee the absolute invulnerability of the internet and therefore cannot rule out data breaches through fraudulent third-party access, in which case it will notify the competent authority within the legally established deadlines.

12. IMAGE RIGHTS

In accordance with the sporting, promotional, distribution and exploitation interests of the race, by accepting these rules the participant expressly authorises the organisation to photograph or record all or part of their participation, gives consent for their image to be used for the promotion and dissemination of the race in all possible forms (radio, press, video, photo, DVD, internet, posters, media, etc.), and assigns all rights relating to commercial and advertising exploitation that the organisation considers appropriate, without any right to financial compensation.

The participant also grants the organisation permission to use their presence in the competition for advertising purposes, provided these are legitimate.

13. ACCEPTANCE

All participants, by starting this race:

Accept these rules; in case of doubt or any situation not covered by them, they will abide by the organisation's decision.

Declare and assume that they are in optimal physical condition to participate in this event.

Release Club de Atletismo Artyneon, sponsors or commercial partners, directors, employees and organisers of the sporting event from any liability arising from participation in the event, such as loss of personal belongings due to theft or other circumstances.

Any circumstance not covered by the race rules will be the exclusive responsibility of race management.

14. MODIFICATIONS

The event organisation reserves the right to make any change to these rules if it considers it appropriate. Any change will be duly notified. Club de Atletismo Artyneon is not responsible for any information from other sources that may be published online referring to this race.
